In excess of 20,000 subtleties 'in danger' after police information digital assault
In excess of 20,000 subtleties - including police' names and photographs - are "possibly in danger" after an information break, a senior official has said.
A firm in Stockport, which makes ID cards for More noteworthy Manchester Police (GMP), was focused on in a ransomware assault a month ago.
Boss Asset Official Lee Rawlinson told a public gathering it was a "intense occasion".
He said "a few" powers and government offices had likewise been impacted.
The information break at Computerized ID, which holds data on different UK associations, is being examined.
Mr Rawlinson told a police, fire and wrongdoing board that the data that had "possibly gone" was "generally okay", adding: " It doesn't have monetary subtleties or explicit subtleties, however clearly, it relates to certain officials' names and at times photograph recognizable proof.
"So we're regarding it as an intense occasion."
